Canadian/Comparative Candidates Survey

I am the Canadian director of the Comparative Candidates Survey which is an international project that aims to collect survey data on candidates running for national elections in more than 35 countries. In particular, I am responsible of administering the survey to candidates who run for office at Canadian federal elections. We use a common core questionnaire that allows for cross-national comparison. Our surveys focus on candidates’ political background, campaign activities and strategies, political attitudes and priorities, and sociodemographic profiles.
